SHIPS'  ROUTEING
(Adopted on 27 November 1997)

THE ASSEMBLY,

RECALLING resolution A.827(19), which requested the Maritime Safety Committee to review, on the basis of submissions from Governments, the operation of the Rules and Recommendations on Navigation through the Strait of Istanbul, the Strait of Зanakkale and the Marmara Sea and the conditions therein, to consider, as appropriate, any suggestions for changes in the said Rules and Recommendations and to report on these matters to the twentieth session of the Assembly,

REFERRING to the decision of the Maritime Safety Committee at its sixty-seventh session to authorize the forty-third session of the Sub-Committee on Safety of Navigation (NAV) to report on these matters directly to the twentieth session of the Assembly,

HAVING CONSIDERED the report of the NAV Sub-Committee submitted in annex 3 to document A 20/9/Add.1, and the comments made by Turkey on this report (NAV 43/15, annex 11),

1. TAKES NOTE of the aforementioned report of the NAV Sub-Committee and the comments made by Turkey;
